Linktown Boxing Club Lands a Knockout with KCFSC Grant

Linktown Boxing Club has delivered a powerful punch to its training capabilities thanks to a recent funding grant from the Kirkcaldy and Central Fife Sports Council (KCFSC). KCFSC Chairman, George MacDonald, visited the club to personally present the award, witnessing firsthand the club’s dedication to developing boxers of all ages.

The grant has enabled Linktown Boxing Club to purchase essential new equipment, including a Tuf Wear Jumbo punchbag, pads, and gloves. These additions have significantly enhanced the training experience for club members, whose ages range from 5 to 65.

Amy, Club Secretary, expressed the club’s gratitude, stating, “The club is delighted to have been awarded the money from the Sports Council which went towards the purchase of much-needed equipment. The Club were able to purchase a new Tuf Wear Jumbo punchbag, pads, and gloves which has helped develop the skills of the boxers of our club who range from age 5 to 65. The grant has helped us immensely.”

The new equipment has not only improved the quality of training but has also created a more inclusive and engaging environment for boxers of all skill levels and ages.
